President
Nicole Bourque-Bouchier of Bouchier Contracting Ltd
Nicole Bourque is co-owner of Bouchier Contracting Ltd., a heavy equipment contracting company, serving Canada's Athabasca Oil Sands region. Ms. Bourque also has extensive experience in stakeholder and Aboriginal relations, having served as Senior Advisor, Stakeholder Relations for Albian Sands Energy and as Manager, Aboriginal Affairs, TrueNorth Energy. She has been actively involved in numerous boards and committees focusing on education, employment and community development. In 2006, she served her first term on the Athabasca University Board of Governors. She is a graduate of Edmonton's Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and Keyano College, located in Fort McMurray, Alberta. In 2001, Ms. Bourque was honoured with an Esquao Award in Business from the Institute for the Advancement of Aboriginal Women. A member of the Mikisew Cree First Nation, Ms. Bourque lives with her husband, David, and three young sons just outside of Fort McMurray.

Richard Sorge of Sorge’s Welding
Richard is the CEO of Sorge’s Welding Ltd. after 19 years of the steel fabrication business. Sorge’s expanded their capacity in January 2007 to include a minority partner, Empire Industries Ltd. Empire Industries brings a consolidated production capacity of over 400,000 square feet of steel fabrication space and 800 employees across Western Canada. On August 1, 2008 the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) Business Group purchased the majority ownership in the business. This acquisition will leverage the strengths of the ACFN Business Group and allow for new opportunities to expand in the Region. Richard has been a strong community leader and an active member of NAABA for the past 8 years. He is in his 2nd term as Vice President and is currently the chairperson of NAABA’s Event Committee.

Rod Stafford of NWT Safety Supplies Fort McMurray Limited
Rod Stafford is a member of the Ochapowace First Nation. Rod has worked in the oil and gas industry all over Canada for over 20 years. Rod is community minded and always looking for ways to improve and develop aboriginal business. Rod’s firm belief in safety led him to a joint venture with NWT Safety Supplies. Rod has shared his vast knowledge of the oil sands and its challenges to help small business owners succeed in the region. His ingenuity, experience and dedication make him an asset to both the board and the community
Directors:
Dennis Gable of Pioneer Oilfield Rental
Dennis operates the company, Pioneer Oilfield Rentals, in the Region and has been involved in oilfield services most of his career. He was raised in the area and has worked with many of the oil producers in the region as both a consultant and supplier of services. Dennis is a community minded business owner and looks forward to participating on the NAABA Board.
Ryan Pruden of Wapose Medical Services
Ryan has operated his own businesses since March of 2004. His medical company, Wapose Medical Services, provides paramedic and safety services to all clients in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Ryan has previous board experience with the Métis Local 1935 in which has been on for 2 years previous to the NAABA board. Ryan is happily married with 4 children. As a local Métis businessman his goals include helping other local aboriginal businesses succeed by working with them and promoting them in NAABA.
George Halfe of Protective Clothing Supply
George has been CEO for the past 5 years of Protective Clothing Supplies Ltd., a division of Goodfish Lake Development L.P. He has worked with Goodfish Lake Development LP for the past 22 years and has worked his way up in the organization from Supervisor in the Sewing and Garment Division to General Manager overseeing three divisions of the Company, to CEO of all Divisions. He has recently presided over the construction and opening of a new high technology facility for manufacturing and cleaning of protective clothing for many companies, the majority being in the oil industry. George has been an active NAABA Member for the past 6 years.
Floyd Gladue of Nipi Services
Founder and President of Nipi Services (2007) Inc., a water hauling, waste management and steam trucking company. Floyd was employed at both Syncrude Canada and Albian Sands Energy in mining for over 25 years. He also is involved in various local organizations. He has taken the Aboriginal Entrepreneurship Program offered by Keyano College. Floyd is happily married with one child. He looks forward to beginning his involvement with NAABA.
Lydia Beaudry of Beaudry Inc.
Lydia Beaudry (Courteoreille) is a member of Mikisew Cree First Nation. She has 15 years experience in the oil sands mining and refinery. Her accreditations are occupational health and safety diploma from the University of Alberta. She has complete National Construction Safety officer certification from the Alberta Construction Safety Association. Lydia is the major owner of Beaudry Inc. and is excited to be involved with NAABA.
Tyrone Brass of Bayzik Electrical Valve & Instrumentation Inc.
Tyrone first visited Fort McMurray during the years 1977-1982, once he moved here he has been an active community member since 1988. He worked for Syncrude for 20 years, and then in March 2005 he began his business. Tyrone became a NAABA member in May of 2005. He has four wonderful children who are very active in academics and sports.
