Operator / Programmer

Acden Lemax Machining and Welding Incorporated is currently accepting applications for one (1) experience CNC Operator/Programmer. This position will support the clients based out of the Gregoire Industrial Shop in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Regular shift rotations are Monday to Friday, between 7:30am to 4:00pm; however, hours, schedules and locations may change from time to time due to operational, client and training requirements.

This is a local position to the Fort McMurray, Alberta region.
No accommodations or flights will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Program CNC machinery as required.
• Operate CNC machines with FANUC controls.
• Fulfill training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties.
• Work to specific customer drawings and specifications with minimum supervision.
• Complete routine generated work order requests.
• Prove out programs at the machine ensuring the highest quality is maintained always.
• Duties as they may arise that would fulfill the mandate of providing excellent service to the client.

• Alberta Certified Journeyman or Interprovincial Red Seal in Machinist trade.
• 3-5 years programming experience, (industrial maintenance/construction environment preferred).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract.
• Strong experience with FANUC controls is required.
• GIBBScam Training considered a strong asset.
• Highly developed organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent Problem Solving Skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
• Strong team player skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks
• Sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance
• Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation, regulations and site policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Comprehensive Drug, Alcohol and Audiometric pre-employment testing.
• CSTS and OSSA certificates or OSSA BSO certificate.
• Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean 5-year history driver’s abstract obtained within 30 days.
• Must be able to provide credentials of trade prior to or at the interview stage.
• Must be eligible to work on all Oil Sands sites within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
